Sam Lutfi was by Britney Spears' side during her crazy heyday (coincidence?) but insists Britney was just "expressing her independence and her freedom" when she did things like shave her head.
Lutfi described the incident as "cool" but admits he "doesn't know what she was thinking at the time." In his defense, neither did anyone else.
Reminder: The conservatorship for Britney Spears was granted a three-year restraining order against Lutfi on her behalf back in April 2009. So consider the source.

Britney Spears is gonna drive her conservatorship crazy because she really wants to buy a Maserati.
For the second time in less than a month, the mother of two checked out the $150K Italian sports car on Monday.
But sources tell us there's no chance in hell her father -- or the judge -- will let the conservatorship wonder buy the car.

Ke$ha thinks Britney Spears is a huge let down to her fans -- for lip-synching her way through live shows.
America's pop-squeak told UK's Daily Record recently: "[Lip synching] is treating people as if they are too stupid to realize you are not actually singing ... I don't want to treat my fans like they are stupid."
Baby Gaga claimed she'd never rely on lip-synching at a live show. As for if that's a good idea ... jury's still out.

Brittany Murphy's mom has just put her house up for sale -- the house where Brittany died ... TMZ has learned.
Simon Monjack tells us Sharon Murphy listed the house today for $7.25 million. The house, located in the Hollywood Hills, is 8,000 square feet on 1.29 acres.
Brittany bought the house for just under $4 million in 2003. She purchased the home from Britney Spears.
We're told the title to the house is held in a blind trust, and Sharon is the sole trustee.
As we first reported, Brittany has left all of her assets to Sharon.
Monjack tells TMZ when the house is sold and Brittany's estate is wrapped up, he and Sharon are moving to New York.

Kevin Federline visited a grocery store in Los Angeles on Friday and seemed to struggle to recognize a box of leafy greens.
We're told K-Fat was shopping for healthy foods with his girlfriend Victoria Prince -- but still managed to suck down a cancer stick on his way out of the store.
Baby steps.

The world is just four months away from hearing conservatorship wonder Britney Spears make, er, beautiful music again.
The 28-year-old mother of two will drop her seventh studio album in June and will be working with a slew of producers including Danja, Max Martin and It boy French DJ David Guetta, according to MTV.
Let's hope it's half as good as her dance music masterpiece "Blackout."

Britney Spears isn't the only California resident her ex paparazzo boyfriend has allegedly stiffed over the last couple of years -- he apparently screwed the rest of Cali's populace by not paying his taxes on time.
TMZ has obtained a lien filed by the Governator's tax henchmen, which shows Adnan Ghalib didn't pay $4,370 in state taxes in 2007.
It doesn't seem like a whole lot till you factor in the following:
-- $2,185 in penalties
-- $658.97 in interest
-- $352 in collection fees
That brings the total to $7,565.97. Lesson here? Pay your taxes on time, people ... and landing strips aren't meant for your face.

Lawyers for Britney Spears' conservatorship have made their move to keep confidential "critical information" about Britney and her children.
In legal papers obtained by TMZ, attorneys Geraldine Wyle and Jeryll Cohen are worried that personal and medical information will leak out into the media unless it's put under legal lock and key.
In their argument, the attorneys note that "A Google search for Ms. Spears' name yields 54,300,000 hits." And they go on ... "Photographs and personal information, particular information of a highly confidential nature (such as personal medical information of Ms. Spears and her children), can potentially reap thousands if not millions of dollars."
The information is so sensitive the lawyers note on the open market "The possibility of such enormous profits presents a substantial risk that Ms. Spears' most confidential medical and personal information will be disclosed."
So the attorneys want the sensitive info about Britney, Sean Preston and Jayden James sealed, and stat.

Talk about ambitious: Kevin Federline dropped a few dozen lbs and now the former professional dancer is trying to find the beat again.
TMZ obtained video of the new (relatively) slimmed down K-Shed working on some moves with Justin Timberlake's choreographer Marty Kudelka.
He's a long way from his days dancing for Britney Spears, but a source close to Kevin says he's been hitting the dance studio pretty damn hard.
K-Fed's trying to sell his dancing comeback as a reality show. Shocker.

Britney Spears has to be the only person on the planet who test drives a Maserati by sitting in the passenger seat while someone else gets to have all the fun.
Britney and her bodyguard visited the Maserati dealership earlier today in Calabasas, CA -- where she was spotted riding shotgun in the car, which is worth well over $100,000.
Britney is such a driven person.
BTW: Britney is on a $500 a week allowance and can't buy the car without a judge's approval ... and we're pretty sure that's not how the judge rolls.

It takes a lot of guts to pose in just a pair of skimpy camouflage underwear -- but that's exactly what Kevin Federline did for his first appearance on VH1's "Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp."
A 232-pound Federleezy took the "before" pics for his stint on the reality show -- in which he hoped to shed 30 lbs.
During last night's premiere, Federline told the judges, "I look like a pregnant man."
We'll see if the show helps K-Fed give birth to a new physique.

With Britney Spears busy recording -- and wearing ill-fitting dresses in Miami and at the Grammys -- this weekend, Kevin Federline kept himself and his girlfriend occupied by looking after adorable lil Sean Preston and Jayden James.
Sean, Jayden and Britney all seem to thrive when being looked after by their fathers.
